Delta Sunset

The Delta is a huge estuary environment fed by the waters of the mighty Sacramento and San Joaquin Rivers. This forms one of the largest estuaries on the West Coast of the Americas. The Delta is easily accessed from outlying metropolitan areas within an hour or two drive. This vast estuary boasts over 1,000 miles of interconnected navigable waterways. These waterways consist of flooded islands (lakes), tributary rivers, peat islands, bays and sloughs.

Angling opportunities abound with anadromous fish and resident species year round. Salmon, Steelhead, Sturgeon, Striped Bass, Black Bass and Panfish make up most of the species that travel the Delta's waters. Our Flyfishing Guide Service helps you explore some of these angling possibilities. Striped Bass, and world class Largemouth Bass fishing is our primary focus. Other flyrod pursuits can include Smallmouth Bass, Panfish, and Carp.
